In a Bambu Lab forum post, a user going by the name “Dill” announced that this summer, they will be launching a new “multi-plate automation add-on for A1 mini”. They claim to be the same people who developed Jobox back in 2022.

This easy-to-apply add-on will let you print multiple build plates at once, making your printing experience even more convenient.

Here are just a few of the ways it’ll make your life easier:

  • Print multiple plate projects in the most comfortable way
  • Reduce the material waste and save material swapping time by using one material per plate
  • Stop playing puzzles while trying to place all of your parts on a single plate for another overnight print. Just use multiple plates…
  • … and minimize the failure risk by distributing parts over multiple plates. We’ve all been there, right? That frustrating moment when one detached part ruins all parts around.
  • Start or scale up your business with minimal investment and bring your ideas to more customers

If you are still unsure what that means, they have shared a video demonstrating the product:

They say the price will be affordable but give no specifics other than, “We designed it to be as affordable as a few spools of filament.”

When the product is released, there will be a hardware kit to order (containing all the complicated mechanical parts) and printing files for download. All parts that need printing can be printed on an A1 Mini.

Dill also confirmed there will be an A1 version, but they are not aware of the progress made on that version.

If you want to be notified when the product hits the shelves, Dill says you should add a “thumb up” emoji on the original post: https://forum.bambulab.com/t/multi-plate-automation-for-a1-mini/79481/40

Finally, if this interests you but you don’t have an A1 Mini yet, now might be your chance to grab one at its lowest price yet during Bambu Lab’s second-anniversary sale.
