As you may or may not know, MakerWorld has a tool called “Make My Vase” along with another tool called “Make My Sign“. Both tools are part of the MakerLab section of the website and are specialized tools to help you create what their names imply.
Today, Make My Vase received an update and saw its version bumped to 1.1. In a post on Reddit, BambuLab describes what is new:
Make My Vase 1.1 Highlights:
- Professional Draw Mode
- Design intricate cross-sections and splines with ease.
- Pan, zoom, and precisely positioned points for meticulous control.
- Add a reference image to guide your drawing.
- Filament Preview – Preview your masterpiece with chosen filament types and colors before printing for accurate results.
- Spiral Vase Mode – The model becomes solid, suitable for spiral vase mode in Studio. The printed vase has only one wall and requires no seams.

1. Professional Draw Mode
Drawing cross sections and splines is now more professional with several improvements:
- Pan and zoom the drawing canvas for precise control.
- Use input boxes to adjust point positions accurately.
- Control points automatically maintain the same tangent direction when moving one by default.
- Press Alt key to move a control point independently.
- Add a background image for reference.
2. Spiral Vase Mode
A new switch enables spiral vase mode. When enabled: the model becomes solid, suitable for spiral vase mode in Studio. The printed vase has only one wall and requires no seams.
3. Filament Preview
Now you can select different filaments and different colors and See how your vase looks with the chosen options in real-time.
4. Improved Experience of Scale Vase
The user interface for scaling vases is improved for better usability in different 3D angles.
